Your history. Your choices.
This notice explains how thenfold uses your information and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
Thenfold uses your account details, saved memories, imported content and messages to provide the features you use. Voice features also process microphone audio when you choose to use them. Sign-in and preferences use cookies or browser storage.
How AI uses your memories
Cloud AI processes your message and recent conversation with external service providers. When Memory is ON, relevant saved memories may also inform an answer. Providers also help operate account, hosting and storage features.
Service providers have their own processing and retention policies. You can read the text AI service’s privacy policy and the voice service’s data controls.
Voice and dictation
Voice is optional. Audio is processed by an external provider while you use the microphone; voice conversations can also include recent chat and memory-based answers. The provider’s standard retention policy applies, including temporary safety logs. Review the processing notice before starting, and use Mute or End to control a conversation.
Dictated words are available for review before saving. Talking or chatting does not automatically create a journal entry.
Your controls
New accounts start with cloud backup and cloud AI enabled. You can turn either off in Settings, and your choices are remembered. Existing offline memories are brought into your account only when you choose.
Memory OFF stops new saved-memory lookups for a reply. Earlier conversation messages can still provide context. Memory use and cloud backup have separate controls.
Settings also lets you export memories, delete cloud data or delete your account. Turning backup off does not delete existing cloud copies. Copies on your device are managed separately.
Keeping a copy
You can write, search and export memories offline without an account. Cloud AI and voice require sign-in and an internet connection. Keep an export of memories you want to preserve before clearing browser storage or changing devices. Conversation history is saved on this browser and is not synced between devices.
Private AI is paused. Existing private conversations remain on this device and can be read or exported from Settings. They are not automatically uploaded or added to cloud chat. Conversation exports contain unencrypted text; keep downloaded copies somewhere you trust.
